Delhi Weather

The city of Delhi is beautiful. The climate and weather of this wonderful city is somewhat arid. It varies between summer and winter temperatures. Usually in Delhi the summers are very long lasting from the month of April to October. The monsoon season appears in the middle of the long summer. Delhi is known for heat waves. Since Delhi is close to the Himalayas cold waves often drop temperatures across the entire city. During winter season heavy fogs appear. Travelling in the winter may become troublesome in Delhi depending on the road conditions. The city has agreeable weather from the month of February to March and again from September through November. The months of December and January can be rather chilly at night in Delhi. The summer months of May and June are extremely hot.

When you are planning to make a trip to Delhi the best time to visit is in the winter season. You don’t want to take a risk going in the summer season due to possible heat exhaust, heat strokes, and danger of dehydration. There is also a risk of getting lost or caught in a violent dust storm. Hot winds that is nicknamed loo can be too much for some outside travelers who are not comfortable dealing with that type of weather. It is very important to consider the season before planning your trip or vacation in Delhi. In Delhi it is possible to experience some extreme continental climate that many people are not custom to. The spring is the next alternative if you can not make it to Delhi in the winter season. The spring season can be beautiful with flowers blooming, greener grass, and birds singing their favorite melodies in Delhi. Most foreigners love the temperatures of Delhi during the winter season the best and enjoy their visit fully.
